About This Project

Like cities throughout the country, Seattle is facing a growing backlog of aging and failing assets. In an effort to better understand its renewal needs and right-size its capital improvement program, Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) contracted with Blue Cypress to develop a capital investment analysis that describes options and a recommended course for the level and type of capital investment needed to renew its gravity sewer system over both the short and long-term (a sixty-year period).
